OT Technician

Job Summary:

The OT Technician is responsible for preparing and maintaining the operation theatre, assisting the surgical team during procedures, ensuring sterilization of instruments, and following infection control protocols to support safe and efficient surgeries.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare operation theatre before and after surgeries
• Ensure sterilization and aseptic conditions in OT
• Arrange surgical instruments, consumables, and equipment
• Assist surgeons, anesthetists, and nursing staff during procedures
• Handle OT equipment and report faults or malfunctions
• Assist in patient shifting, positioning, and transfer
• Clean, disinfect, and store surgical instruments properly
• Maintain OT registers, checklists, and inventory records
• Follow hospital policies, safety norms, and infection control guidelines
• Attend emergency and on-call OT duties

Qualification:

• Diploma / Degree in OT Technician / Operation Theatre Technology
• Recognized institute or university

Experience:

• Fresher or experienced candidates
• Experience in hospital OT preferred

Skills & Competencies:

• Knowledge of surgical instruments and procedures
• Sterilization and infection control practices
• Attention to detail and discipline
• Ability to work under pressure
• Good teamwork and communication skills

Working Conditions:

• Shift-based duties
• Standing for long hours
• Exposure to OT environment and surgical procedures

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
