Dialysis Nurse

As a Dialysis Nurse, you will be responsible for overseeing the preparation of the delivery system, dialysate bath, and dialyzer. You will confirm that all mandatory alarm tests on the dialyzer and equipment are performed. Your role will involve reviewing physician orders for dialysis patients, collecting pre-treatment dialysis data, and reviewing patient records prior to dialysis. Additionally, you will conduct pre-dialysis patient assessments, including obtaining patient vital signs, assessing the patient's vascular access, laboratory findings, and general health. Key Responsibilities: - Verify that patients are taking all prescribed medications and perform medication reconciliation - Document findings of patient assessments and interventions and advise providers of any significant change in the patient's condition - Discuss patient concerns and answer questions relevant to care - Oversee dialysis technicians in the performance of dialysis from start to finish - Monitor patient reaction to treatment and performance of the dialysis machines - Demonstrate an in-depth understanding of the mechanics of dialysis - Assess, prepare, and cannulate a patient's vascular access - Utilize sterile techniques to assess the dialysis catheter exit site and apply dressing on the patient's vascular access per protocol Qualifications Required: - Knowledge of nursing - Proactive Monitoring skills - Thorough understanding and assistance of Hemodialysis procedure In this role, you will work full-time on a rotational shift schedule at the designated in-person work location.,
