DGPS Survey Intern

Job Description

Job Description: We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented DGPS Surveyor with 1–2 years of field experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of Differential Global Positioning System (DGPS) technology, land surveying principles, and geospatial data collection. You will be responsible for conducting accurate and efficient surveys to support various infrastructure, engineering, and construction projects. Key Responsibilities: Operate DGPS equipment and associated surveying instruments for field data collection. Conduct topographic, boundary, alignment, and layout surveys using DGPS. Perform field checks to ensure accuracy and quality of data collected. Process and interpret DGPS data for mapping, design, and reporting. Coordinate with engineers, project managers, and GIS teams to deliver precise geospatial information. Maintain survey equipment and ensure regular calibration. Prepare survey reports, site sketches, and data logs. Comply with safety protocols and company policies during site operations. Requirements: Diploma or Degree in Civil Engineering, Surveying, Geomatics, or a related field. 1–2 years of experience as a DGPS Surveyor in construction, infrastructure, or related projects. Proficient in using DGPS equipment (e.g., Trimble, Leica, Topcon). Familiarity with total stations, auto levels, and GIS software is a plus. Ability to read technical drawings and maps. Strong analytical, communication, and teamwork skills. Willingness to travel and work in field conditions. Preferred Qualifications: Basic knowledge of AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or similar design software. Understanding of coordinate systems and survey datum. Experience with land development or road/highway projects.
