Job Description

As a Demand & Supply Planner, you will be responsible for managing the demand planning process for the assigned Business unit. You will lead collaborative sales forecasting (CSF) discussions with Business Unit Offer leaders to develop an agreed demand plan for the next 18 months. Your role will involve working closely with stakeholders to align on the demand plan versus RF at the product activity level. Your duties will also include generating a statistical demand plan and enriching it with pricing, promotion, and specific project inputs from CSF discussions. You will update and commit to the demand plan in the planning tool, Kinaxis, on a monthly basis. Additionally, you will be involved in distribution requirement planning, where you will determine stocking strategies and safety stock levels for each distribution center based on analytics proposals and in alignment with Business Offer leaders. Monitoring unhealthy or ageing stock levels will be part of your responsibilities, and you will collaborate with the Business team to reduce such inventory and minimize the impact on provision. You will work towards reducing end-to-end supply lead times through appropriate stocking strategies, safety stocks, and logistics offers. As part of the role, you will lead Sales, Inventory & Operations Planning (SIOP) discussions with the Business team to ensure alignment on demand, supply, and risk mitigation solutions. Your proactive approach will involve identifying, escalating, and resolving any issues related to demand and supply to ensure operational efficiency. Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for this role include Forecast Accuracy, Unhealthy Stock Percentage, On-Time Delivery (OTD), Backorder Lines & Value, and End-to-End Supply Lead Time. The ideal candidate for this position should have a B.E./B.Tech degree, preferably with an MBA, and a minimum of 10 years of experience in Demand & Supply Planning. Proficiency in SAP and planning tools such as Kinaxis is required. Previous experience in Electrical, Electronics, or FMCG industries is preferred. This is a full-time position requiring a dedicated professional with a strong background in demand and supply planning.
