Job Description

Job Title: DevOps Engineer

Location:

Job Overview

DevOps Engineers

remote, offshore contract

Job Responsibilities

Build, maintain, and enhance CI/CD pipelines using GitLab and Jenkins.
Develop automation using scripting languages such as
Ruby, Shell (Bash), or PowerShell
.
Support AWS-based infrastructure, including deployments, configurations, and environment management.
Create, update, and manage Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) using
Terraform
and
CloudFormation
.
Work closely with application developers and infrastructure teams to support releases and automation initiatives.
Participate in
on-demand and real-time production support calls
(approx. 40%), troubleshooting CI/CD failures or automation issues.
Assist in migration activities such as
moving workloads from legacy QWS to modern AWS control towers
and
transitioning from on-premise data centers to cloud
.
Utilize configuration management tools such as
Chef
to streamline and automate environment provisioning.
Collaborate with global DevOps and application teams in a 24x7 engineering ecosystem.

Required Skills & Experience

3 to 5+ years as a DevOps Engineer

Preferred Industry / Tech Exposure (Nice to Have)

Mortgage Insurance or Guidewire (Billing Center, Policy Center) environment
Java-based application teams (helpful, not required)
Tomcat / WebSphere / BizTalk / Oracle / Salesforce / CMS platforms
Experience working with large global development teams (100+ devs)

Education & Certifications

Certifications preferred
: AWS, Chef, Ansible, GitLab, or equivalent hands-on
