Devops Engineer

As a DevOps Engineer 2, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the infrastructure and tools necessary for continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) of software applications. Your role will involve working closely with development and operations teams to streamline processes, improve system reliability, and ensure a smooth delivery pipeline. You will also play a key role in automating and optimizing our cloud environments, monitoring system performance, and enhancing security practices.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with software development teams to understand their deployment needs and provide guidance on best practices.
• Design and implement CI/CD pipelines using appropriate tools and methodologies.
• Automate manual processes related to infrastructure management, deployment, and monitoring.
• Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure high availability and reliability of applications.
• Manage and maintain cloud-based infrastructure (AWS / Google Cloud) and on-premises servers.
• Implement security best practices and compliance measures throughout the development lifecycle.
• Document processes, configurations, and architectures for team knowledge sharing.

Skills and Tools Required:

• Strong knowledge of DevOps principles, methodologies, and best practices.
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Shell.
• Experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI.
• Familiarity with containerization technologies such as Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes.
• Knowledge of cloud services (AWS, or Google Cloud) and experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Understanding of monitoring and logging tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, Dynatrace, ELK stack, or Splunk.
• Solid understanding of version control systems, particularly Git.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• 2+ years of experience in a DevOps role or similar position.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Azure DevOps Solutions Expert) are a plus.
