DevOps Engineer

Key Responsibilities

Infrastructure Management

• Design, implement, and maintain cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
  
• Manage Linux/Unix servers including provisioning, monitoring, optimization, and troubleshooting.
  
• Ensure high availability, scalability, performance, and security of infrastructure systems.
  

CI/CD & Automation

• Build, manage, and optimize CI/CD pipelines for development and production deployments.
  
• Automate repetitive tasks using scripting (Bash, Python, etc.) and tools such as Ansible, Terraform, or CloudFormation.
  
• Work closely with development teams to integrate automated testing and streamline deployments.
  

Monitoring & Incident Management

• Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, CloudWatch, etc.).
  
• Monitor system alerts, troubleshoot production issues, and ensure minimal downtime.
  
• Perform root cause analysis and provide long-term resolution plans.
  

Collaboration & Support

• Collaborate with development, QA, and operations teams to improve workflows and delivery processes.
  
• Assist developers in optimizing applications for deployment and scaling.
  
• Provide guidance on best practices related to cloud usage, version control, security, and automation.
  

Security & Compliance

• Implement infrastructure security best practices and manage access control policies.
  
• Ensure compliance with internal and external standards (e.g., ISO, SOC2).
  

Documentation & Reporting

• Maintain detailed documentation of infrastructure, deployment pipelines, processes, and update logs.
  
• Provide regular reports on system performance, incidents, and improvement initiatives.
  

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field (preferred).
  
• Hands-on experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP.
  
• Strong expertise in Linux/Unix systems management.
  
• Experience with IaC and automation tools (Ansible, Terraform, CloudFormation).
  
• Solid understanding of CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, etc.).
  
• Proficiency in scripting languages (Bash, Python).
  
• Experience with monitoring and log analytics tools.
  

Good to Have

• Certifications in AWS/Azure/GCP or DevOps.
  
• Experience with containers and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
