The Digital Channels department (DCH) of Proximus is responsible for the development and operational support of overall applications used by our sales agents, our Proximus App and our Website.We provide an efficient, effective, and reliable technical service environment to the Proximus Group with:
- the development, management and control of technical platforms and service solutions
- the continuous improvement and optimization of DCH operational support systems at the right cost with the right quality,
- the continuous synchronization and collection of our business partners needs to provide optimal services.
- To stay focused on our support tasks and to watch over quality of delivery, we are looking for a DevOps engineer.
Job content
- As a DevOps Engineer, you will be responsible for:
- Development and Operations Integration: Collaborating with development and IT operations teams to streamline and automate processes, ensuring efficient and reliable software delivery.
- Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD): Implementing and managing CI/CD pipelines to automate the build, test, and deployment processes. Familiarity with tools such as Jenkins and GitLab is a must.
- Monitoring and Logging: Setting up and maintaining monitoring and logging systems to ensure the health and performance of applications and infrastructure.
- Incident and Problem Management: Responding to and resolving incidents and problems, ensuring minimal downtime and impact on customers.
- Security and Compliance: Implementing security best practices and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards in collaboration with our security department.
- Operational Readiness: Participating in projects to ensure operational readiness, including the consideration of non-functional requirements, and watching over the smooth transitions from development to production.
- Project Maturation: Getting involved in the project maturation process to oversee and ensure the quality of delivery.

- Technical Knowledge: You have a good general knowledge of IT and networks
- Knowledge of CI/CD and Monitoring Tools: Familiarity with tools such as Jenkins, Github /ArgoCD, CI, Adobe, Dynatrace, Splunk is mandatory. Prometheus and Grafana is a plus.
- Functional and Technical Analysis: You can perform both functional and technical analysis to support operational needs and act as an intermediate between operations and delivery teams.
- Experience with Cloud Platforms: Knowledge of cloud platforms such as Kubernetes/RedHat OpenShift, Azure, AWS or Google Cloud is mandatory.
Knowledge on the used technologies (Linux, GraphQL, Kafka, Couchbase, Oracle, Reactive Architecture, HTML5, Apache, Angular, WebLogic, ...) is mandatory.
- Knowledge on Telecommunication: Familiarity with telecommunication technologies and processes is a plus.
- Knowledge on AI Tools: Familiarity with AI tools and technologies is an asset.
- Security (NIS2) & GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation): Understanding Security and GDPR concepts is mandatory
- Language Skills: Proficiency and being fully fluent English is mandatory, Dutch and/or French are a plus.
- MS Office Suite: A good knowledge of MS Office Suite is recommended.
