Job Description

Role Overview: Siemens Energy is looking for a Development Engineer for Thermodynamics to design steam turbine components in water-steam cycles for power plants and new products for the energy transition. You will be responsible for developing fundamental design principles to achieve optimal thermodynamic parameters for maximum efficiency and flexible operation of turbine sets. Collaboration with interdisciplinary teams across global locations is a key aspect of this role. Your involvement will span from the initial idea to the deployment of new products in power plants. Key Responsibilities: - Designing steam turbine components in water-steam cycles and new products for the energy transition at Siemens Energy - Developing fundamental design principles to optimize thermodynamic parameters for maximum efficiency and flexible operation of turbine sets - Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams across global locations - Accompanying the development of new products and technologies from the initial idea to deployment in power plants Qualifications Required: - A master's degree in mechanical engineering, preferably with a PhD, focusing on thermodynamics in turbomachinery - Several years of experience in the energy or turbomachinery sector - Excellent knowledge of steam turbine thermodynamics and turbine components - Extensive experience in designing turbomachinery components for water-steam cycles or alternative working media - Strong analytical skills, independent working style, excellent communication and teamwork abilities, and intercultural competence - Fluency in English, German language skills are a plus Please note that the company details were not explicitly mentioned in the provided job description.,
