Key Responsibilities: - Designing steam turbine components within water-steam cycles for power plants and developing new products for the energy transition at Siemens Energy, with a focus on optimizing thermodynamic parameters for maximum efficiency and flexible operation of turbine sets. - Collaborating within an interdisciplinary network across Siemens Energy's global locations to support the development of new products and technologies, from concept to implementation. - Enhancing the efficiency of Siemens Energy steam turbine sets by optimizing thermodynamic parameters to meet changing market demands. - Developing technically advanced components to production maturity while ensuring compliance with relevant technical standards and norms. - Contributing to shaping Siemens Energy's future product portfolio through project work centered on energy transition technologies and transformation. Qualifications Required: - A master's degree in mechanical engineering, preferably with a PhD, specializing in thermodynamics within turbomachinery. - Several years of professional experience in the energy or turbomachinery sector. - Profound knowledge of steam turbine thermodynamics and turbine components. - Extensive experience in designing turbomachinery components for water-steam cycles or alternative working media. - Strong analytical skills, independent work ethic, excellent communication and teamwork abilities, and intercultural competence. - Fluency in English; German language skills are considered a plus.
