Development Engineer (Java)

The position of Java Developer requires the ability to work in a fast-paced, highly collaborative, agile development environment supporting short iterative cycles. Flexibility in understanding changing business priorities is essential for this role. You should have a good understanding of Agile development methodologies such as test-driven development, continuous integration, code coverage, and code analysis. Demonstrated ability to develop and deliver complex software projects is crucial. Effective interpersonal communication skills in a highly collaborative team environment are necessary. You should have a self-directed work style and provide technical leadership and mentorship to less experienced professional staff. The minimum qualifications and experience required for this role include at least 6 years of commercial experience in software development with Java and microservices. Knowledge of Cloud Computing and Virtualization technologies, such as OpenStack, OPNFV, and industry standards like ETSI-NFV in the Telecom market, is a plus. Experience in developing applications with microservices architecture is also beneficial. The key technologies and tools you should be familiar with include Java 17, Spring Boot 2, RESTful, SOAP, JMS, JPA/Hibernate, MyBatis, SQL, Jboss 7.x, Docker, k8s, helm, Maven, Jenkins, Git, Gerrit, Bash, PostgreSQL, JUnit, OpenStack, and RESTEasy. Additional knowledge of Camunda, BPMN, Spring Boot, Openstack, k8s, Linux x86, and Microservices would be advantageous. Your major responsibilities and tasks will involve reviewing new features" requirements, implementing new solution features (developing Java code, bug-fixing, self-testing), covering code with unit tests, writing automation test cases for functional tests, and providing demo sessions for developed functionality.
