As an Applications Development Programmer Analyst at Citigroup, your role involves participating in the establishment and implementation of new or revised application systems and programs. You will work closely with the Technology team to contribute to applications systems analysis and programming activities. **Key Responsibilities:** - Utilize knowledge of applications development procedures and concepts to identify and define necessary system enhancements - Identify, analyze issues, make recommendations, and implement solutions - Analyze information to recommend solutions and improvements - Conduct testing, debugging, and write basic code for design specifications - Develop working knowledge of Citis information systems and procedures - Assess risk and drive compliance with applicable laws and regulations **Qualifications:** - 2-5 years of relevant experience - Experience in programming/debugging for business applications - Working knowledge of industry practice and standards - Comprehensive knowledge of specific business area for application development - Working knowledge of program languages - Clear and concise written and verbal communication skills **Education:** - Bachelors degree/University degree or equivalent experience **Skills:** - Strong understanding of core java, collections, and multithreading - Exposure in core Spring, Hibernate development preferable - Working knowledge in RDBMS - Basic knowledge of Design patterns/techniques - Strong logical abilities and problem-solving skills - Experience in ExtJS/angular is an added advantage - Strong writing, communication, time-management skills - Familiar with standard SDLC and Agile processes This job description provides a high-level overview of the work performed.
