Developer Java/J2EE

The Applications Development Programmer Analyst position is an intermediate level role where you will be responsible for participating in the establishment and implementation of new or revised application systems and programs, working closely with the Technology team. Your main objective will be to contribute to applications systems analysis and programming activities. In this role, your responsibilities will include utilizing your knowledge of applications development procedures and concepts to identify and define necessary system enhancements. You will need to identify and analyze issues, make recommendations, and implement solutions. It will be important to utilize your knowledge of business processes, system processes, and industry standards to solve complex issues. You will also be expected to analyze information, make evaluative judgments to recommend solutions and improvements, conduct testing and debugging, utilize script tools, and write basic code for design specifications. Additionally, you will need to develop a working knowledge of Citis information systems, procedures, standards, client server application development, network operations, database administration, systems administration, data center operations, and PC-based applications. You should appropriately assess risk when making business decisions, with a particular focus on safeguarding Citigroup, its clients, and assets by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules, and regulations. To be successful in this role, you should have 2-5 years of relevant experience, experience in programming/debugging used in business applications, working knowledge of industry practice and standards, comprehensive knowledge of a specific business area for application development, working knowledge of program languages, and consistently demonstrate clear and concise written and verbal communication. Education-wise, a Bachelors degree/University degree or equivalent experience is required. In terms of skills, you should have a strong understanding of core java, collections, and multithreading, exposure in core Spring, Hibernate development is preferable, working knowledge in RDBMS, basic knowledge of Design patterns/techniques, strong logical abilities and problem-solving skills, experience in ExtJS/angular is an added advantage, strong writing, communication, time-management skills, and be familiar with standard SDLC and Agile processes.
