Developer III - Software Engineering - Mainframe support

As a Mainframe Developer at UST, you will be responsible for: - Developing, testing, and maintaining mainframe-based applications with high code quality. - Performing manual and automated tasks on mainframe systems and monitoring transactions. - Conducting defect RCA, debugging, and performance optimization. - Supporting release, configuration, and deployment activities. - Collaborating with cross-functional teams and mentoring junior developers. - Tracking operational metrics, reporting issues, and ensuring SLA compliance. To excel in this role, you should possess: - 2-4 years of experience in software development, operations, or tech support. - Hands-on knowledge of COBOL, JCL, DBMS, and mainframe tools. - Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. - Good understanding of Agile processes and SDLC principles. - Excellent communication and documentation skills. Preferred qualifications include: - Exposure to the healthcare domain and terminology. - Experience in mainframe automation or process improvement. - Certifications in software engineering or mainframe systems.
