Job Description

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Embedded Engineer to join our Industrial Robotics

and Automation team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in embedded systems

design and development, with hands-on experience in COBOTs (Collaborative Robots), Motion Path

planning and programming on platforms like ROS or equivalent, Proficiency in C++, knowledge of

Python relevant to industrial automation, and real-time control systems. You will play a key role in

designing, developing, and optimizing embedded solutions for next-generation robotic systems used

in manufacturing and industrial environments.

Role & responsibilities

1. Design and develop embedded software for robotic systems including COBOTs and industrial

automation platforms.

2. Integrate sensors, actuators, motor controllers, and communication interfaces (CAN, RS485,

Ethernet, etc.).

3. Develop and maintain firmware for microcontrollers, SoCs, and real-time operating systems

(RTOS).

4. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including mechanical, electrical, and software

engineers to ensure seamless system integration.

5. Implement safety protocols and standards for industrial robotics (e.g., ISO 10218, ISO/TS

15066).

6. Optimize system performance for real-time responsiveness, reliability, and energy efficiency.

7. Conduct debugging, testing, and validation of embedded systems in lab and field

environments.

8. Document design specifications, test procedures, and technical reports.

Required Qualifications:

1. Bachelors or Masters degree in Embedded Systems, Electronics, Mechatronics, Computer

Engineering, or related field.

2. 5+ years of hands-on experience in embedded systems development for industrial robotics

or automation, relevant experience on platforms like ROS or equivalent applicable to Robots

/ Collaborative robots.

3. Proficiency in C/C++, and experience with RTOS (e.g., FreeRTOS, VxWorks, QNX).

4. Experience with ARM Cortex, PIC, STM32, or similar microcontroller platforms.

5. Strong understanding of real-time systems, control theory, and signal processing.

6. Familiarity with robotic frameworks (e.g., ROS/ROS2), and industrial protocols (Modbus,

EtherCAT, Ethernet-IP, OPC UA).

7. Experience with version control systems (Git), CI/CD pipelines, and Agile development

practices.

Preferred candidate profile

1. Experience with machine vision, AI/ML integration, or edge computing in robotics.

2. Knowledge of functional safety and fail-safe system design.

3. Exposure to FPGA programming and hardware-software co-design.

4. Hands-on experience with robotic arms, AGVs, or automated production lines.
