As a Designer specializing in Illustrations and Surface Patterns for Home, Travel, and Fashion Accessories, you will be responsible for creating original and captivating designs that will be applied to a diverse range of products. Your role will be crucial in defining our visual identity and ensuring that our designs resonate with modern audiences while remaining distinctive in a competitive market. Your work will involve developing compelling illustrations, surface patterns, and print artworks for various items such as home decor, travel accessories, and fashion accessories. Additionally, you will be responsible for organizing and managing a library of artworks, tech packs, colorways, and print specifications. To qualify for this position, you should possess a Bachelor's degree in graphic design, Textile Design, Illustration, or a related field. A minimum of 2-5 years of experience in illustration or surface design, preferably in the lifestyle or fashion industry, is required. A strong portfolio showcasing your original illustration style, pattern development skills, and color sensibility is essential. Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and Procreate is necessary, and familiarity with tools like Midjourney or AI art generators is a plus. Understanding of repeat layouts, color separations, and production constraints is also expected. Having a passion for design that balances artistic creativity with commercial appeal is crucial for success in this role. Experience in working with homeware, soft goods, or fashion accessories, as well as knowledge of printing techniques like screen, digital, or sublimation printing, would be advantageous.
