Designer/ Drafter

As a Designer III at Weatherford located in Airoli, Navi Mumbai office, you will be responsible for performing routine tasks in the design of new products and enhancing existing products. Your role will involve evaluating products, parts, or processes for cost efficiency and reliability with guidance from a team leader to ensure timely completion. You will work across various product lines as assigned, primarily focusing on drafting and Windchill loading and clean-up tasks. Your main responsibilities will include performing engineering tasks following established procedures such as layout drawing, material selection, cost estimation, and tolerance studies. It is essential to efficiently apply your technical skills to assigned projects while continuously enhancing your domain knowledge and staying updated on new technologies. You will be expected to maintain high-quality work by adhering to defined processes and industry standards like API, ASME, and ASTM. In addition, you will be required to provide regular status updates and progress reports, ensuring timely project deliverables. Working with optimal productivity, you will complete projects within the assigned time frame with high quality output. Collaborating as a team player and being flexible to assigned tasks are crucial aspects of this role. Your job requirements include a minimum of 5+ years of CAD Engineering and design experience, proficiency in Creo software, excellent engineering knowledge, and a Diploma in Mechanical Engineering. Experience in surface package & drafting is also necessary. Preferred qualifications include manufacturing experience, Windchill experience, familiarity with the Oil & Gas industry, and a Masters in CAD.
