Your primary responsibilities will include providing technical assistance and engineering support to the manufacturing group. You will work on enhancing existing processes, developing new manufacturing concepts, training production operators, and collaborating with maintenance personnel to resolve equipment issues using systematic troubleshooting methods. Additionally, you will support all functions within the manufacturing areas. **Key Responsibilities:** - Provide technical assistance, process development, and engineering support to the manufacturing floor, including Extrusion, Secondary Operations, and packaging areas. - Support the successful launch of new products by actively participating in various activities such as FMEA, part and tool design reviews, and cross-functional team events. - Execute validation and qualification protocols for new products, equipment, tooling, and processes. - Develop innovative and cost-effective manufacturing concepts, lead scrap reduction teams, and engage in value improvement projects. - Offer technical responses to customer service/customers as needed. - Mentor extrusion technicians and involve maintenance personnel in resolving tooling and equipment issues through troubleshooting and root cause analysis. - Collaborate with Engineers internally and externally to develop processes meeting customer expectations on cost, quality, and delivery. - Document project status, lessons learned, and implement process documentation efficiently. - Close assigned CAPAs promptly and report project status in a timely manner. **Qualifications Required:** - Plastic processing degree or diploma - Experience in thermoplastics extrusion, molding, or assembly process - Knowledge of extrusion or molding process design - Autocad or other design software experience preferred - Familiarity with Root cause analysis - Six Sigma Green or Black Belt certification preferred - Proficiency in Lean Manufacturing - Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) - Adaptability to change, high integrity, and a positive attitude - Ability to work effectively in a team environment and contribute to group goals Join Lubrizol today and be a part of a dynamic team dedicated to continuous learning and evolution, delivering success through passion and commitment to safety, sustainability, ethics, and compliance.
