Design Researcher II

Role Overview: You will be working as a UX Researcher at Microsoft Lists, a versatile tool aimed at aiding teams in tracking information and managing workflows on platforms like Microsoft Teams and SharePoint. Microsoft Lists provides customizable templates, rules, views, and integrations with Forms, Document Libraries, and AI-driven suggestions to enhance work processes. Your role will involve shaping meaningful, intuitive, and scalable solutions for knowledge workers globally. Key Responsibilities: - Define and lead strategic research roadmaps aligned with Lists" business priorities and product vision. - Conduct mixed-methods research to provide actionable insights influencing design decisions and long-term strategies. - Collaborate cross-functionally with product managers, designers, engineers, and data scientists to steer roadmap decisions and success metrics. - Enable frequent concept testing and validation for AI, Forms, and Document Library workstreams. - Assist in defining ethical and effective evaluation signals, especially for new AI experiences. - Mentor junior researchers, share best practices, and promote user-centric design throughout the organization. Qualifications: - Master's Degree in a relevant field with a minimum of 1 year of User Experience Research experience, or Bachelor's Degree with 2+ years of experience, or equivalent. - Proficiency in qualitative and quantitative research methods. - Strong storytelling and communication skills with the ability to effectively influence decisions. - Experience in working within cross-functional product teams in fast-paced environments. - Deep commitment to accessibility and inclusive design. Preferred Qualifications: - 6+ years of experience with a Bachelor's degree, 4+ years with a Master's, or 3+ years with a Doctorate in UX research. - Experience with enterprise or productivity tools and familiarity with AI-driven experiences and evaluation design. - Proficiency in research tools like UserTesting, Dovetail, Qualtrics, UserZoom, or similar. - Comfortable navigating ambiguity and bringing structure to iterative product spaces.,
