Design & Estimation Engineer (LGSF Construction)

As a Design and Estimation Engineer at Avabiz Ventures, you will play a crucial role in the design and estimation of innovative and sustainable construction solutions using Light Gauge Steel Framing (LGSF) technology. Your responsibilities will include: - Prepare detailed designs, drawings, and 3D models for LGSF structures using industry-standard software. - Perform cost estimation, material take-offs, and quantity analysis for residential, commercial, and prefab projects. - Collaborate with project and site teams to ensure designs meet technical and structural requirements. - Review project specifications, drawings, and scope of work to prepare accurate Bills of Quantities (BOQs) and cost proposals. - Ensure compliance with safety standards, codes, and project requirements during design and estimation phases. - Coordinate with vendors, clients, and consultants for design approvals and project updates. - Support project planning with technical documentation and cost optimization strategies. Qualifications required for this role include: - Bachelor's Degree/Diploma in Civil or Structural Engineering. - 1-5 years of experience in design and estimation, preferably in the construction or prefab industry. - Strong working knowledge of LGSF systems. - Proficiency in design and estimation software such as AutoCAD, Revit, Tekla, SketchUp, or STAAD Pro. - Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and technical drawing interpretation skills. - Strong communication and teamwork abilities. - Ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines under pressure. Preferred experience includes prior work on modular housing or steel structure projects, exposure to on-site project execution, and understanding of cost estimation standards, tendering, and construction scheduling.
