Job Description

Role & responsibilities

Develop 3D solid models, assemblies, and detailed 2D drawings using SolidWorks.
Design and develop metal racks, trolleys, and thermoformed packaging trays as per customer or project requirements.
Apply knowledge of mechanisms such as fall arresters, anti-tilt systems, and locking/clamping mechanisms.
Perform basic simulation and analysis to validate design feasibility and functionality.
Coordinate with production, quality, and logistics teams to ensure manufacturability and packaging efficiency.
Maintain proper documentation of design revisions, BOMs, and drawings.
Support continuous improvement initiatives in product design and development

Preferred candidate profile

Education: B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
Software Skills: Strong command of SolidWorks (Solid Modeling, Assembly, Drafting; Simulation is an added advantage).
Experience: Prior exposure to metal fabrication, trolley design, or thermoforming (VF tray) projects.
Technical Knowledge: Understanding of mechanical linkages, locking/clamping systems, and packaging ergonomics.
Additional Skills:
Good visualization and problem-solving ability.
Basic understanding of packaging logistics and material flow.
Team player with effective communication and documentation skills.
