Job Description

Role Overview: Siemens Energy is seeking an individual to join their team in a challenging and future-oriented role. As a part of the team, you will be involved in supporting field service operations, generating detailed engineering drawings, conducting root cause analysis, and collaborating with various stakeholders to ensure design integrity and compatibility. Key Responsibilities: - Extensive knowledge of steam turbine design including turbine rotor, casings, blades, gland seal components, bolting, bearings & pedestals, steam valves etc. - Support field service team and customer queries in urgent forced outage recovery programs. - Generate and release detailed engineering drawings, 3D models, and bills of materials (BOMs). - Perform form, fit, and function studies to ensure design integrity and compatibility. - Evaluate non-conformance reports (NCRs) and define corrective actions. - Experience in root cause analysis and continuous improvement methodologies. - Coordinate cross-functional collaboration with manufacturing, field service, and other stakeholders. - Possess interpersonal skills, both written and verbal for the English language & ability to work in a global team environment. Qualifications Required: - Bachelors/Masters degree in Mechanical or Production engineering. - 12 to 16 years of engineering or manufacturing experience, preferably in Turbomachinery domain. - Significant hands-on experience in designing software like NX, Pro-E and AutoCAD etc. - Knowledge of SAP (product module) and Teamcenter. - Ability to work independently with minimal guidance or direction. - Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing. - Ability to make quick, informed decisions on a regular basis. - Ability to manage multiple manufacturing issues / projects and deadlines. - Flexibility to travel as required by the projects and customers. - Familiarity with steam turbine products or repair methods for major components. - Knowledge of industry standards (ASME, ISO, DIN).
