Job Summary

Design Engineer

Responsibilities

• Develop detailed

  3D models and 2D drawings

  of orthopedic implants and instruments using CAD software (SolidWorks/AutoCAD).
• Create and maintain

  design documentation

  including BOMs, design history files, and change records.
• Perform

  tolerance analysis

  , DFM (Design for Manufacturing), and DFA (Design for Assembly) checks.
• Review and improve existing implant and instrument designs based on surgeon and production feedback.
• Support

  prototype development, testing, and validation

  activities.
• Participate in

  design reviews, risk assessments, and verification/validation processes

  .
• Stay updated with

  industry trends, materials, and manufacturing technologies

  .

Experience & Qualifications

• 2 to 6 years

  of experience in mechanical design (preferably in orthopedic implants or the medical device industry).
• Diploma/Bachelors degree in

  Mechanical Engineering

  or a related field.
• Proficiency in

  SolidWorks

  or other 3D CAD platforms.
• Strong knowledge of

  GD&T

  and documentation standards in medical device design.
• Familiarity with implant materials (

  Titanium, Stainless Steel, PEEK

  ) and surface treatments (advantage).
