Design Engineer

1 Conceptualization and Design: -

Conceptualizing and developing new product designs or improving existing designs.
- Work closely with clients, project managers, and other stakeholders to understand the requirements and specifications

2 Research and Analysis: -

Design engineers conduct research and analysis to gather relevant information, such as industry standards, materials, manufacturing processes, and cost considerations. They use this knowledge to make informed design decisions and ensure compliance with regulations and safety standards.

3 CAD Modeling and Drafting: -

Design engineers utilize computer-aided design (CAD) software to create detailed 2D or 3D models of their designs.
- Generating technical drawings, schematics, and specifications that can be used by manufacturing teams for production.

4 Prototyping and Testing: -

Design engineers involved in creating prototypes of their designs to test their functionality, performance, and reliability.
- Collaborate with other teams, such as product development or testing, to validate and refine the design through various iterations.

5 Collaboration and Communication: -

Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including project managers, manufacturing personnel, suppliers, and clients.
- Communicate design requirements, provide technical support, and address any concerns or issues that arise during the design and development process.

6 Safety and Compliance:

-Ensure that Designs adhere to industry standards, regulations, and certifications applicable to the product or system.
- Adhere to safety guidelines and protocols to maintain a safe working environment. - Maintain 5s , Kaizen and Safety at working place

7 Documentation and Reporting: -

To create and maintain accurate documentation related to their designs, including design specifications, bill of materials (BOM), engineering change orders (ECO), and other relevant technical documentation.
- They may also prepare progress reports or presentations to update stakeholders on the design status.

8 Quality Control:
- Conduct regular quality checks on produced parts to ensure they meet the required specifications and quality standards. - Inspect and measure finished products using appropriate tools and equipment to verify dimensional accuracy and visual appearance. - Identify and troubleshoot quality issues, such as defects, flash,etc., and take corrective actions as needed.

9 Troubleshooting and Problem-solving :
- Analyzing and resolving technical issues related to VMC machines, such as programming errors, tool breakage, or machine malfunctions. - Troubleshooting problems promptly to minimize downtime and maintain production flow.

10 Prototyping and testing: -

To develop prototypes of the designed tools and conduct tests to evaluate their performance, functionality, and safety.
-Analyze test results, make necessary adjustments to the design, and iterate until the desired performance is achieved.

11 Team Management:
- Build a professional and hardworking team of worker to deliver best product and nurture a good employee base for the organisation. - Ensure continous improvement within department. - Identify training needs for Development department. - Attend daily development meetings

12 Organisational compliance:
- Follow all rules and regulation in the organisation. - Support team in all activities.
