Design Engineer

Proficiency in CAD software such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar tools.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Design and Development:

• Develop detailed mechanical designs using CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD).
• Create 3D models, assemblies, and detailed drawings for manufacturing.
• Design automation systems, fixtures, tooling, and special-purpose machines.

2. Project Collaboration:

• Work closely with project managers, electrical engineers, and manufacturing teams to ensure designs are feasible and meet project timelines.
• Participate in design reviews and provide input on design optimization and cost reduction.

3. Prototyping and Testing:

• Oversee the prototyping process, including fabrication and assembly of components.
• Conduct tests and simulations to validate designs and make necessary adjustments.

4. Documentation and Standards Compliance:

• Prepare and maintain design documentation, including BOMs (Bill of Materials), technical specifications, and user manuals.
• Ensure designs comply with relevant industry standards and safety regulations.

5. Customer Interaction:

• Engage with clients to understand their requirements and provide technical support during the design phase.
• Present design concepts and solutions to customers and stakeholders.

6. Continuous Improvement:

• Stay updated on industry trends, materials, and manufacturing processes to enhance design quality and efficiency.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of design practices and processes within the team.

Preferred candidate profile

• Experience in designing automation systems, fixtures, or special-purpose machines.
• Knowledge of FEA (Finite Element Analysis) and simulation tools.
• Familiarity with industry standards such as ISO, ASME, or CE marking.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Education:

Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.

• Experience:

3-8 years of experience in mechanical design, preferably in the automotive or industrial

• Technical Skills:

Proficiency in CAD software such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar tools.

Strong understanding of mechanical engineering principles, materials, and manufacturing

processes.

• Experience with GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) and tolerance stack-up

analysis.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
