Design Engineer

Role Overview: You will be responsible for creating 3D models, assemblies, and detailed 2D drawings using SolidWorks. You will perform design calculations, support product development, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize designs. Additionally, you will modify and improve existing designs, prepare BOMs, and ensure compliance with industry standards. Your role will also involve supporting prototyping, testing, and validation of designs. Key Responsibilities: - Create 3D models, assemblies, and detailed 2D drawings using SolidWorks. - Perform design calculations and support product development from concept to production. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize designs. - Modify and improve existing designs for cost reduction, performance, and manufacturability. - Prepare and maintain BOMs, technical documentation, and drawing standards. - Conduct tolerance analysis, GD&T application, and ensure compliance with industry standards. - Support prototyping, testing, and validation of designs. Qualification Required: - 2 years of hands-on experience in mechanical design using SolidWorks. - Knowledge of mechanical components, sheet metal, weldments, and surface modeling. - Understanding of manufacturing processes such as machining, casting, and fabrication. - Familiarity with GD&T, tolerance stack-up, and design standards. - Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. - Good communication and teamwork skills.
