Job Description

1 Supervise and Planning of Tool Room Operations: - Provide guidance and supervision to a team of designers, engineers, and technicians working in the tool room. -Production Planning and 100% achivement of Target -Overall in charge of maintenance of Tool Room -Ensuring Correct data updated in Daily Production Reports - Manage the day-to-day operations of the Dept -Plan for emergency situations such as labour shortage, machine failures, material shortages, quality issues in advance. - Coordinate with production planning teams to schedule and prioritize workload , ensuring efficient utilization of resources and timely completion of customer orders. - Cost saving by utilization of different source(New development, Kaizan, Time saving) -conduct training sessions or workshops to educate employees on proper tool usage, safety procedures, and any specific regulations or guidelines applicable to the tools in use. - Operators Training and planning manpower in an effective way. - Minimise rejection/ Rework to facilitate cost control. 2 Machine Setup and Operation: - Designing tools and equipment: To create detailed designs for tools and equipment . -Creating technical drawings and specifications: - Check Set up and prepare settings for Tool Room . 3 Material selection and evaluation: - To select appropriate materials for tool construction based on factors such as strength, durability, and cost. and also evaluate the performance of materials through testing and analysis to ensure the tools can withstand the demands of the manufacturing process. 4 Material Handling and Maintenance: - Loading/ unloading material. - Scheduling proper maintenace of moulds/ dies / fixtures etc. - Ensure proper storage of items. - Collaborate with maintenance personnel to ensure the proper maintenance and repair of Tool Room machines 5 Safety and Compliance: - Adhere to safety guidelines and protocols to maintain a safe working environment. - Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and work instructions to ensure consistent and compliant operations. - Report any safety hazards, machine malfunctions, or quality issues to the supervisor or maintenance team promptly. - Conduct regular inspections to identify potential safety hazards and take proactive measures to mitigate risks. - Maintain 5s of the Tool Room shop and Safety,zero accident at shop floor. - Prepare documentation - production reports, inventory reports, quality control reports. 6 Quality Control: - Conduct regular quality checks on produced parts to ensure they meet the required specifications and quality standards. - Inspect and measure finished products using appropriate tools and equipment to verify dimensional accuracy and visual appearance. - Identify and troubleshoot quality issues, such as defects, flash,etc., and take corrective actions as needed. - Monitor production losses 7 Team Management: - Build a professional and hardworking team of worker to deliver best product and nurture a good employee base for the organisation. - Ensure continous improvement within department. - Identify training needs for tool room department. - Attend daily development meetings 8 Organisational compliance: - Follow all rules and regulation in the organisation. - Support team in all activities.
