Design Engineer Catia Plastic Trims

You are a skilled CATIA Design Engineer with 2+ years of experience specializing in automotive plastic trims. Your role will involve designing and developing interior and exterior plastic trim components for passenger vehicles using CATIA V5/V6. You will work closely with cross-functional teams and ensure the design meets OEM standards. Your responsibilities include: - Designing automotive plastic trim components like dashboard panels, door trims, and consoles. - Creating 3D models, assemblies, and 2D drawings. - Conducting feasibility studies and supporting DFMEA and DFM activities. - Reviewing and incorporating feedback from prototype builds. - Maintaining design documentation and BOM updates. To excel in this role, you should have a Diploma/BE/B.Tech in Mechanical/Automobile Engineering and be proficient in CATIA V5/V6. Additionally, you should possess a good understanding of plastic materials, injection molding processes, and design for manufacturing principles. Strong problem-solving and communication skills are essential. Preferred qualifications include experience with automotive OEMs or Tier-1 suppliers and knowledge of GD&T and tolerance stack-up analysis.,
