Design Engineer (BIW Sheetmetal/ Automotive Plastic Trims)

We are seeking a highly skilled Design Engineer with a strong in automotive design, specializing in sheet metal or plastics. The ideal candidate will have a understanding of vehicle architecture and structural design principles, combined with expertise in CATIA V5 and Teamcenter software.

Responsibilities

• Understand geometric requirements within the context of the vehicle.
• Develop CAD designs in CATIA based on engineering directions.
• Participate in design reviews and implement necessary revisions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure design requirements are met.
• Populate design in vehicle context and attach to digital vehicle structure.
• Handle engineering change requests effectively.
• Apply geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) to completed designs.
  

Essential Skills

• Minimum 3 years of experience in new part development or handling engineering change requests.
• Strong proficiency in CATIA V5, particularly in sheet metal and plastics.
• Excellent project management and communication skills.
• Good knowledge of MS Office applications.
• Ability to work independently without supervision.
  

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor&aposs or Master&aposs degree in Engineering (B.E/B-Tech/M.E/M-Tech).
• Expertise in designing plastic parts for automotive applications.
