Job Description

Role Overview: As a Construction Documentation Coordinator, your role will involve taking over design documentation from the client's design team post-tender stage and coordinating the issue of construction documentation by respective designers. You will be responsible for scheduling the receipt, review, and timely issuance of construction documents to contractors to meet construction timelines. Your duties will also include leading inter-discipline design coordination, preparing design meeting agendas and minutes, as well as assigning and following up on tasks. Additionally, you will be required to set up the Documentation Management System (DMS) for all design documents in coordination with the document controller to ensure that all contractors use the latest revision of drawings at the site. Key Responsibilities: - Coordinate the issue of construction documentation by respective designers - Schedule the receipt, review, and timely issuance of construction documents to contractors - Lead inter-discipline design coordination and prepare design meeting agendas and minutes - Assign and follow up on tasks related to construction documentation - Set up the Documentation Management System (DMS) for all design documents in coordination with the document controller - Schedule the receipt, review, and approval of contractors" design submittals such as shop drawings, samples, data sheets, and specifications - Coordinate the review and approval process by designers and resolve coordination issues between contractors - Lead the review and approval of mock-ups and prototypes by contractors - Coordinate the preparation of as-built drawings, O&M manuals, and other take-over documentation - Flag changes to the design or previously received approvals - Lead the change management process to issue revised designs to the site in a timely and coordinated manner - Assist in drafting Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs) and checklists for the internal Quality Control (QC) team Qualifications Required: - B. Arch or Dipl/B. Tech (civil) degree - Minimum of 8 years of experience in a design or design management role - At least 3 years of site experience, ideally in a site/resident architect/engineer position - Experience in coordinating design for at least 2-3 base-build projects larger than 200,000 ft2 - Experience in coordinating design for a hotel project or high-end interiors is advantageous,
