Dermatology Technician

Assist dermatologists during patient examinations and procedures, including biopsies, excisions, cryotherapy, laser treatments, and more. Prepare patients for treatments by explaining procedures, answering questions, and ensuring patient comfort. Take and record patient medical histories, including allergies and medications, and assist with documenting clinical notes. Set up exam rooms, sterilize equipment, and maintain a clean and organized work environment. Perform diagnostic tests, including skin imaging, patch testing, and lab specimen collection. Educate patients on skincare routines, proper wound care, and post-procedure instructions. Perform basic lab work, such as preparing skin samples and specimens for lab analysis. Administer topical treatments, such as applying ointments or topical anesthesia, as directed by the physician. Monitor patient vital signs and report any abnormalities to the physician. Ensure compliance with infection control protocols and safety standards.
