Key missions of the position:

Responsible for AGTU System and Product design for Indian Railways and Metro applications. The role involves working in Project Engineering, Tender Engineering, Application Engineering, Product Management, Validation & Commissioning and Warranty Support

Main responsibilities:

Manage product and project priorities. Cultivate a progressive mindset to learn, contribute and achieve.
Actively promotes and upholds ethics and compliance to core values and adherence to standards, systems and processes.
Conduct robust design and project reviews, DFMECA and Reliability studies.
Effectively interacts with the group CoC , in developing new products wherever and whenever required for the customer and also for validating your designs before initiating development action.
Deals with external agencies like RDSO or other Inspection Agencies nominated by the Customer in validating and promoting of the product during testing, installation and field trials.
Prepares technical offer and associated load chart as per the requirement of the system engineer
Works seamlessly with other CTMs from various functions assigned to the project under the leadership of your Project Manager.
Discharge duties in a very efficient manner such that all the Project milestones are achieved, Contract Margin is respected and the QCD parameters are met, if not exceeded.
Ensuring that the systems, products and equipment being designed by you meet the performance requirement including installation trials of new product to the satisfaction of the customer.
Systematically reviewing all existing products with assistance of RAMS Engineer and upgrade.
Obtaining first-hand information about our product performance and competitors product performance by interacting with Sales / Service function and take continuous corrective / preventive actions to prevent recurrence of the undesirable behaviour. Actively participates in resolving customer complaints.
Drive Value Engineering to achieve improved performance and / at reduced cost.
Maintains strong REX database.
Provides the engineering support to the site team in product stabilization and reliability growth.
Works closely with RAMS team to establish KPIs for product/system performance.
Drives timely resolution of customer issues by liaising with Field services and Quality teams in a manner that is consistent with the company mission, values, and financial objectives.
Participates in customer meetings with respect to product reliability and warranty failures.

Education/Training

Engineering degree or B.E/M.E Mechanical Engineering/ Production, etc,
Expertise in air compressor products

Professional Experience

Experience of 8+ years in air compressor technology
Working experience and good knowledge on Product design & development

Key Competences (Transversal/Professional)

Competence Level

CATIA V5 : Knowledgeable in Structural & Solid Modelling (3D)

AUTOCAD: Knowledgeable in Drafting (2D)

Fluid Control Symbols and Schematics : Proficient

MS Office tools: Proficient
