The Plant Facilities and Process machine Maintenance group provides maintenance support for facility systems equipment and manufacturing process equipment. This is accomplished through scheduled preventative maintenance and unscheduled corrective maintenance activities. The goal of the organization is to support the facility in the most cost-effective manner, maximize asset effectiveness, and operate safely to ensure no workplace injuries and to ensure related statutory compliance during project and operation phase. Position Responsibilities : Spends 1-2 months in the PRC in hands-on and knowledge-based training program. Training program will be on the job and will be results oriented, practical training. During training program, observes the Machine installation, testing and commissioning, operation, trouble shooting, maintenance and operation of process equipment in the existing manufacturing plants in the PRC to learn safety protocol, equipment Maintenance management systems, process, and culture / values. Leverages PRC-based training program to assist in the installation, start-up, debug, ongoing maintenance and operation of process equipment in the Chennai Sriperumbudur BIG TECH factory. Works with other team members to ensure quality operations are occurring. Validates training and other installation/process support processes, and helps to train new personnel in GF plant organization. Ensures machine installation, testing and commissioning carried out in line with OEM and local standards. Prepare a training program and trains other team members. To lead both electrical and mechanical maintenance of Machine tools in a manufacturing industry. Responsible for ensuring all maintenance metrics and work towards improvement of machine health, Safety and enhanced performance. Monitor cost and expenses to meet budget goals and ensure optimal Cost effectiveness Ensuring all maintenance processes are consistent with industry regulations and OSHAS standards Develop, implement and monitor strategies for continuous improvement in equipment reliability and effectiveness. Derive a system to capture history of all critical spares and replace as per the stipulated time line as and when required. Evolving long term strategy / approach to Maintenance Management Systems for the equipment. Hiring and management of subcontractors and other vendors for specialized maintenance work. Achieving maintenance Metrics like MTTR, MTBF and Ensure machine availability 100%. To drive Operation excellence program TPM for process machines. Analysis through online monitoring and machine improvements On time completion of Identified Key projects. Ensuring the PM plan as per the schedule. and adherence of SOP and PM check lists. Ensures spares availability for respective machines Monthly / report/ discussion on Technology scanning. Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure optimal performance and understand the process. Familiarization with repair items for which facilities maintenance personnel are responsible and system used to schedule and complete the work. Oversees inspection/repair of plant systems. Schedules/coordinates plant shutdown activities. Understands the activities required to calibrate the process equipment and develops the knowledge to understand the scheduling system, the calibration record system, calibration standards, and interfaces with the Operations and Engineering organizations. Troubleshoots process and equipment issues and oversees implementation of corrective actions. Ensures process machine and systems on a daily basis to help ensure reliability of systems and uninterrupted service to process areas Minimum Requirements: 9 to 10 - years with Diploma from a reputed institution in Mechatronics / ‘Mechanical’ / Electrical. 7 to 8 years with Degree from a reputed institution in “Mechatronics” / ‘Mechanical’ / Electrical. The overall experience working for maintenance of Process Equipment in a Glass / EMS manufacturing environment. Exposure to / experience with: High RPM Machinery, High RPM Bearings, Vibration Analysis Procedures, “Alignment Procedures”, CNC Machines, Heat treatment process etc. Must have an understanding of the safe working procedures and standards required when working around/with Energized Electrical Systems, High Pressure Systems, Vacuum Systems and Industrial Rotational Equipment (CNC, Process tools, Heat treatment, Pumps, Motors and Fan Systems). Must be able to demonstrate safety mindset, and have led small teams in safe work practices. Must be proficient in reading and working with; Block Diagrams, Process Flow Diagrams, Piping and Instrumentation (P&ID) Diagrams, Schematic Diagrams, Electrical Distribution Diagrams. Effective team leadership / team building skills – able to manage self and others, plan work, develop others Effective communication skills – able to communicate with team members at all levels (process equipment operators, peers, supervisors, etc.) Able to manage multiple priorities – use good judgment in prioritizing own work and the work of his/her team. Maintenance experience in a Manufacturing Plant - from Glass / EMS Industry – that leads to a better understanding of the equipment and overall processes. Knowledge and working in TPM concepts, 5S, Lean manufacturing, MS office and Auto CAD. Knowledge of QMS ISO 9001 / EMS ISO 14000 / OHSAS Prior Glass or major plant expansion experience Provides first line of support for troubleshooting for technicians and operators.
