Job Description

Role & responsibilities

Minimize breakdown time with proper execution of start-up / shutdown activities.
Proper coordination with Shift Incharge & operating staff
Ensuring the plant, equipments, workplace clean & safe
Emergency handling, Trouble shooting and ability to develop solutions to operational
problems impacting production
Adhering to EHS norms and good housekeeping of plant area / equipment / machines.
Ability to develop & review SOP and to ensure all jobs are carried out as per given SOP/EOP
Ability to develop people working with him
Keep track of operational conditions and instruct / guide subordinates, as required.
Bring in improvement schemes based on experience during plant operations
In-depth knowledge of Plant Process, start-up, shutdown & its safety interlocks
To assess the hazards associated with jobs and take appropriate actions to eliminate or minimize the effects
Able to execute SAP related activities
Knowledge & compliance of all statutory standards using live IMS documents.

Preferred candidate profile

Pre-commissioning and commissioning of Ammonia plant.
Optimization of process parameters for smooth operation and energy savings.
Training of sub-ordinates.
Ensure the plant operation team achieve zero accident; zero discharge of effluents and report 100% Near Misses/unsafe conditions
Ensure availability of all chemicals/consumables/spares etc. for smooth/uninterrupted operation.
