Deputy Dean of Graduate Research

Role Overview: You will be contributing to academic leadership at a G08 university, specifically in the area of Higher Degree Research (HDR). As a Senior Lecturer, Associate Professor, or Professor, you will provide strategic leadership by developing and delivering training programs for HDR candidates and supervisors. Your responsibilities will also include national and international representation, collaboration with senior leaders, industry, and partner universities, shaping HDR policy and governance, and deputising for the Pro Vice-Chancellor as needed. This is a part-time (0.6FTE), 5-year fixed-term contract based at UNSW Kensington campus. Key Responsibilities: - Provide strategic leadership on Higher Degree Research (HDR) - Develop and deliver training and development programs for HDR candidates and supervisors - Represent the university nationally and internationally - Collaborate with senior leaders, industry, and partner universities - Shape HDR policy and governance - Deputise for the Pro Vice-Chancellor as required Qualifications Required: - Respected academic with a significant record of research and publication - Knowledge and experience of the higher degree research landscape - Commitment to UNSW Sydney's strategic objectives Please note that visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
