Job Description

Deputy Area Manager - Debt Management Services - Rural
Job Purpose
The Debt Management Specialist will be responsible for managing and coordinating the recovery of overdue payments on loans or credit accounts. Duties and Responsibilities

Achieve collections target by visiting customers/agencies.

Monitor performance against set parameters and provide regular updates and guidelines.

Review and track milestones regularly.

Ensure compliance with legal guidelines during the repossession of products.

Travel with Recovery Officers (ROs) as needed.

Timely allocation of cases to team members.

Proficient in Excel for daily tracking of team performance.

Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and transactions.

Handle escalations promptly and effectively to resolve issues.

Daily management of the Daily Risk Report (DRR).

Develop and implement strategies to improve collection rates.

Counsel and groom direct reportees to enhance their skill sets.

Manage a team of collection officers to achieve overall targets.

Rectify problems encountered during the collection process.

Monitor and improve collection performance through average collection reports.

Legal recovery for Urban NPL (Non-Performing Loans) Wheels (Vehicle Finance) Repo and Legal Management.

Litigation and case management.

Compliance and risk mitigation.

Reporting and documentation.

Required Qualifications and Experience

Experience in achieving collections targets through customer or agency visits.

Ability to monitor and report performance against set parameters.

Familiarity with legal compliance during repossession processes.

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for tracking and analysis.

Strong record-keeping and documentation skills.

Experience in handling escalations and resolving issues effectively.

Ability to develop and implement strategies for improving collection rates.

Experience in counseling and developing team members.

Team management skills to achieve collective targets.

Understanding of legal recovery processes for vehicle finance and NPL management.

Experience in litigation, case management, compliance, and risk mitigation is preferred.

Excellent reporting and documentation abilities.
