We are seeking a highly motivated, compassionate, and skilled Dental Assistant to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will be a vital part of our clinical staff, providing exceptional support to our dentists and ensuring our patients receive the best possible care. Responsibilities: Patient Care: Greet and seat patients, ensuring their comfort and preparing them for treatment. Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as directed by the dentist. Sterilize and disinfect instruments and equipment according to OSHA and CDC guidelines. Assist the dentist during a variety of treatment procedures, including but not limited to fillings, crowns, extractions, root canals, and hygiene appointments. Hand instruments and materials to the dentist during procedures. Suction and retract tissue to maintain a clear operating field. Provide post-operative instructions and educate patients on oral hygiene. Answer patient questions and address concerns with empathy and professionalism. Monitor patient comfort and well-being throughout appointments. Clinical Support: Prepare treatment rooms for patients, ensuring all necessary instruments and materials are readily available. Maintain accurate and detailed patient records and charting. Manage inventory of dental supplies and order new supplies as needed. Perform basic laboratory procedures, such as pouring models and making temporary crowns. Clean and maintain dental equipment, including handpieces. Adhere to all infection control protocols and safety regulations. Assist with scheduling appointments and managing patient flow as needed. Administrative Support (as needed): Assist with answering phones and directing calls. Confirm appointments. Process patient payments. Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent. Graduation from an accredited dental assisting program is preferred. [State-specific certifications/licensure, e.g., Current X-ray certification in [State].] Current CPR certification.
