Key Responsibilities: Market Development & Strategic Growth Identify and develop new business opportunities in domestic and international defense/aerospace sectors. Analyze market trends, customer requirements, and competitive landscape to shape companys strategic direction. Develop strategic partnerships and alliances with OEMs, system integrators, and global defense players. Customer & Stakeholder Engagement Build and maintain high-level relationships with defense services (Army, Navy, Air Force), DRDO, MoD, DPSUs, HAL, ISRO, and other key stakeholders. Lead pre-sales engagements, presentations, demonstrations, and technical discussions. Serve as the company’s representative at defense expos, industry forums, and government outreach programs. Bidding & Proposal Management Drive end-to-end proposal management including RFI/RFP analysis, bid strategy, compliance, pricing, and submission. Collaborate with internal teams (engineering, finance, legal, projects) to prepare competitive, compliant, and compelling proposals. Program Capture & Contract Negotiations Lead program capture strategies and pursuits for large defense projects. Negotiate contracts, MoUs, NDAs, and offset agreements in line with company and government policies. Support post-award business engagement for long-term account growth. Required Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or related field. MBA or equivalent preferred. 10–20 years of experience in business development roles in defense, aerospace, or homeland security sector. In-depth understanding of Indian and international defense procurement frameworks (DPP/DAP, GFR, offset policy, etc.). Proven track record of winning large defense/aerospace projects. Strong relationships with key government stakeholders, defense PSUs, and private OEMs. Exceptional communication, presentation, and negotiation skills. Preferred Qualifications: Ex-armed forces background (especially in procurement, technical services, or planning roles) is highly desirable. Experience with exports, foreign OEMs, and defense attach networks. Familiarity with UAVs, weapon systems, avionics, radar, communications, or aerospace platforms is a strong plus.
