Decarbonization Manager

As a Decarbonization Manager at ETG, your role will be crucial in leading the strategy to reduce the carbon footprint of warehouses and factories in Sub-Sahara Africa, Southeast Asia, and Canada. Your primary responsibility will be to develop and implement initiatives in line with SBTi targets to achieve carbon emission reduction. Key Responsibilities: - Optimize monitoring and reporting on the carbon Scope 1&2 footprint of warehouses and factories. - Identify cost-efficient solutions to reduce the carbon footprint and create a decarbonization roadmap. - Report on the progress of implementation of projects in collaboration with factory teams. - Coordinate with external technical experts to optimize project outcomes. Qualifications Required: - Masters Degree in environmental sciences, engineering, or related studies. - Minimum of 5 years practical experience in GHG reporting and reduction at industrial sites for Scope 1 and 2. - Extensive knowledge of electricity, renewable energy, waste management, and heat efficiency solutions. - Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with factory and senior management teams. - Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and make decisions with minimal supervision. In this role, you will work closely with the Group Sustainability team, Group Treasury team, and Operations teams of Business Units to drive sustainable practices and achieve the company's decarbonization goals.
