Role Overview

Database Administrator / Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Work closely with customers, project managers, and engineering teams to gather requirements and design robust database solutions.
• Install, configure, and upgrade database systems for optimal performance and reliability.
• Implement strong security measures aligned with industry standards (PCI-DSS Level 1 compliance).
• Design and maintain

  solutions for mission-critical systems.
• Optimize database performance through hardware, OS, and software tuning; recommend upgrades and new technologies.
• Develop and enhance database components: queries, stored procedures, ETL processes; conduct code reviews for performance improvements.
• Execute schema changes, troubleshoot bottlenecks, and ensure efficient recovery and restore processes.
• Plan for scalability and future growth of systems.
• Ensure compliance with vendor licensing agreements.
• Handle data import/export tasks across multiple formats (CSV, XML, unstructured data).
• Maintain comprehensive documentation of database environments and best practices.
• Provide technical support and on-call production support for continuous availability.
• Stay updated with emerging technologies and contribute to architecture and design discussions.
