Datastage Developer

As a DataStage Developer, your primary responsibility will be to design, develop, and maintain DataStage ETL jobs based on given specifications. You will be tasked with optimizing existing DataStage jobs to ensure optimal performance. Additionally, you will review job designs and code created by other DataStage developers, troubleshoot job failures, and provide root cause analysis. Collaboration with the development team is essential to ensure that all DataStage jobs adhere to company standards and best practices. You will also be required to provide support for production DataStage jobs as necessary, including developing new jobs to load data into the data warehouse, testing jobs for accuracy and performance, and deploying jobs to production environments. Monitoring DataStage job execution, troubleshooting issues, and maintaining documentation for all developed jobs are crucial aspects of this role. You will also be expected to provide support for ongoing data loads and issue resolution while assisting project leaders with project timeframes and objectives. Requirements: - Bachelor's degree in information systems, Computer Science, or a related field. - 3+ years of experience in DataStage development and administration. - Proficiency in ETL tools such as DataStage, Informatica, Ab Initio, or Oracle ETL. - Strong SQL skills and familiarity with other relevant coding languages. - Experience with Hadoop is considered a plus. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. - Expertise in DataStage solution conception, design, and deployment. - Outstanding analytical and problem-solving abilities. - Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
