Job Description

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Database Administrator with over 6 years of hands-on experience in database management, optimization, and architecture. The ideal candidate will play a key role in designing, developing, maintaining, and securing our data systems to ensure peak performance and scalability.

Key Responsibilities:

• Strong hand-on database administrator experience on IBM DB2.
• Design, implement, and maintain robust database systems, ensuring high performance and responsiveness to front-end users.
• Monitor database performance and implement changes for optimization and tuning.
• Develop complex SQL queries, stored procedures, triggers, and views.
• Perform regular database maintenance, backup, and recovery processes.
• Collaborate with development teams to define database design and architecture for new applications.
• Ensure data security, integrity, and compliance with industry best practices.
• Conduct troubleshooting and provide solutions for database-related issues.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation related to database configurations, standards, and procedures.
• Participate in database capacity planning, scaling, and data migration activities.
• Stay updated with the latest industry trends and database technologies.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Strong hand-on database administrator experience on IBM DB2.
• Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum 6+ years of professional experience as a Database Developer or Administrator.
• Strong proficiency in database systems
• Expertise in writing advanced SQL queries, indexing, and performance tuning.
• Experience in data modeling and database schema design.
• Solid understanding of backup, recovery, security, and data integrity concepts.
• Familiarity with cloud databases (AWS RDS, Azure SQL, Google Cloud SQL) is a plus.
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
