Database Sr Engineer

As a Database Sr. Engineer at CBRE, you will collaborate with developers, D&T staff, and end-users to deliver advanced technical support, maintenance, and logistical assistance to production and test systems. You will be an integral part of the Database Engineering team, responsible for maintaining databases across various company platforms and computing environments. Your responsibilities will include managing day-to-day operations and support of enterprise databases, configuring complex databases, interfaces, and production environments, collaborating with application developers to design innovative programs and systems, overseeing production application systems, information warehouse, and business intelligence systems, as well as directing installation and configuration, performance tuning, backup and recovery, partitioning strategies, and automation techniques. Moreover, you will be in charge of managing user security and access to databases to ensure a controlled environment, evaluating, testing, and implementing patches and bug fixes, coaching others to enhance their knowledge and expertise in various areas within the function, and applying advanced knowledge to explore and develop new methods for achieving individual and department objectives. You are expected to showcase expertise in your job discipline and possess in-depth knowledge of other job disciplines within the organization function. Leading by example and modeling behaviors consistent with CBRE RISE values, you will anticipate potential objections, persuade others at senior levels, and influence divergent interests to adopt a different point of view. To be successful in this role, a Bachelor's Degree is preferred along with 8-10 years of relevant experience. However, a combination of experience and education will also be considered in lieu of a degree. Preference will be given to candidates holding certifications such as Oracle Certified Professional, MySQL Database Administrator, or Microsoft Certified: Azure Database Administrator. You should demonstrate advanced knowledge to develop new and improved methods for achieving objectives, innovative thinking to surpass existing solutions, problem-solving skills to address unique challenges with broad business impact, and proficiency in Microsoft Office products like Word, Excel, and Outlook. Additionally, possessing expert organizational skills and an inquisitive mindset will be beneficial in this role.,
