Database Architect

As a Database Architect with 15-20 years of experience, your role will involve leading the database architecture and strategy across multi-platform database systems, focusing on Azure cloud solutions. You will be responsible for hands-on leadership in designing, deploying, and maintaining databases including DB2, Sybase, Cassandra, SQL, and Oracle. Your key responsibilities will include: - Driving cloud database migration strategies to Azure and optimizing database performance in hybrid cloud environments. - Ensuring high availability, scalability, and performance of database systems by implementing best practices for backup, disaster recovery, and failover. - Collaborating with teams to align database solutions with Azure cloud transformation goals. - Leading performance tuning, database optimization, and data modeling for complex business requirements. - Managing database operations including security, patching, upgrades, and monitoring. - Mentoring and developing junior DBAs while providing leadership on database technologies and trends. To excel in this role, you should have proven hands-on experience in managing and architecting multi-platform databases with a focus on DB2, Sybase, Cassandra, SQL, and Oracle. Additionally, you should possess strong expertise in Azure SQL, Azure Database for PostgreSQL/MySQL, and other Azure-based database services.
