Database Administrator

You will be playing a crucial role as a Database Administrator at VasyERP, where your primary responsibility will be to ensure the smooth functioning of the database to meet the business objectives. Your tasks will include optimizing database performance, creating backups for disaster recovery, and monitoring security and access to the database. Key Responsibilities: - Design and maintain efficient database schemas, tables, indexes, and relationships. - Develop stored procedures, triggers, and views to enhance database functionality. - Analyze and optimize SQL queries, indexes, and database configurations for high performance. - Implement and monitor database backup, restoration, and user access policies for data security. - Regularly monitor database health, resource usage, and logs for optimal performance. - Collaborate with developer teams to troubleshoot database issues and ensure data integration. Qualifications Required: - Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience in PostgreSQL with a deep understanding of its architecture and internals. - Proficiency in handling large databases and optimizing PostgreSQL performance. - Strong SQL skills including writing complex queries, stored procedures/triggers, and understanding execution plans and indexes. - Proven experience in troubleshooting complex database schema or warehouse issues. - Familiarity with Linux/Windows for deploying and maintaining PostgreSQL servers. - Strong problem-solving and debugging skills for performance and query optimization. - Good communication and documentation skills to collaborate effectively with developers and cross-functional teams.
