Job Summary:

We are looking for experienced Database Administrators who aspire to grow into Big Data Administrator roles, particularly within the Cloudera Data Platform (CDP) ecosystem. This opportunity is ideal for professionals with a strong foundation in database and system administration, who are looking to work on the full lifecycle of Big Data platform administration.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install and configure RDBMS databases on production systems.
• Perform database support and maintenance activities including patching and performance monitoring.
• Manage and execute backup and recovery operations.
• Handle day-to-day production database administration tasks.
• Collaborate with infrastructure teams to ensure optimal database performance and availability.
• Perform operational tasks on Linux-based systems to support database and platform health.
• Prepare and maintain documentation related to database operations and procedures.

Required Skills & Experience:

• Database Administration Experience:

  2+ years

• Database Technologies:

  Hands-on experience in any RDBMS such as Oracle, PostgreSQL, or MySQL.

• Operating Systems:

  Good working knowledge of Linux (RHEL preferred).

• Production Experience:

  Proven experience in installation, configuration, and support of databases in production environments.

• Backup & Recovery:

  Solid understanding and hands-on experience with backup and recovery strategies.

• Linux Administration:

  Familiarity with Linux OS operations specifically required for database management.
