Job Description

Key Responsibilities :

Install, configure, and maintain MySQL database servers in production and development environments.
Monitor database performance and proactively address performance issues, bottlenecks, and capacity planning.
Implement and manage database security, backup, and recovery strategies.
Perform database tuning, optimization, and query performance analysis.
Support data migration, replication, and high availability solutions.
Collaborate with application development teams to design database schemas, indexes, and procedures.
Troubleshoot database-related issues and provide 24/7 on-call support as required.

Required Skills & Qualifications :

Proven experience (5+ years) as a MySQL DBA in large-scale, high-availability environments.
Strong knowledge of MySQL architecture, replication, clustering, and backup strategies.
Proficiency in performance tuning, query optimization, and troubleshooting.
Experience with Linux/Unix environments and shell scripting.
Familiarity with cloud-based database solutions and tools (AWS RDS, etc.) is a plus.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or within a team.
