Database Administrator

As a Database Administrator, you will be responsible for the design, implementation, maintenance, and performance tuning of critical database systems. You will collaborate closely with application teams, system administrators, and project stakeholders to ensure robust, scalable database systems aligned with organizational goals. Your expertise in relational databases like PostGres, MariaDB, and non-relational databases such as MongoDB will be crucial for database design, normalization, and optimization. **Key Responsibilities:** - Contribute to the design and implementation of scalable and secure database solutions. - Support the development of reliable and efficient database architectures. - Apply database design best practices and enforce standards. - Manage and maintain operational health of production and non-production databases. - Perform routine maintenance tasks like backups, indexing, archiving, and patching. - Analyze database workloads to address performance bottlenecks. - Ensure database security through access control, encryption, and secure configurations. - Monitor for unauthorized access and respond to threats. - Optimize SQL queries, indexes, and execution plans. - Coordinate deployment of updates, patches, and schema changes. - Implement and manage monitoring tools to track performance and resource utilization. - Maintain accurate documentation for configurations, maintenance procedures, and incident resolutions. - Understand data requirements and support solution development. **Qualifications Required:** - B.E./ B. Tech in any specialization or MCA, with DBA certification preferred. - 7+ years of experience in database design, implementation, and management. - Fluency in English and Hindi (Speaking, reading & writing), Assamese proficiency preferred.
