Data Tester

Key Responsibilities:

1. Develop and execute test cases, and test scripts for validating ETL/ELT processes, data transformations, and data pipelines.

2. Perform data reconciliation, completeness, consistency, and integrity checks

3. Design and execute test plans to validate data transformations, ETL/ELT processes, and data pipelines. 4. Develop and execute automated test case for data testing using tools like DataGaps, Tricentis TOSCA - DI / Query Surge / Data OPs etc.

5. Analyze data issues, report bugs and track it to closure

6. Gather key data quality metrics, including data completeness, consistency, and accuracy.

Required Technology Skills & Experience:

1. 5+ years in data testing, data validation, or ETL testing roles.

2. Strong SQL skills for data validation and reconciliation.

3. Hands-on experience with data testing automation tools such as DataGaps, Tricentis Data Integrity, QuerySurge, dbt tests, Apache Griffin, Data Ops or custom Python-based solutions.

4. Proficiency in Python, Scala, or Java for data validation scripting.

5. Experience with BI/reporting tools (Tableau, Power BI, Looker) for validating data accuracy in dashboards.

6. Familiar with Big Data technologies (Hadoop, Spark, Hive) and cloud data platforms (AWS Redshift, Snowflake, Google BigQuery, or Azure Synapse).
