Job Purpose

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Reporting/MIS Lead to oversee and manage reporting and data-related functions within our organization. The ideal candidate will have a strong background and hands-on knowledge of MIS/Report development with proven experience in task management and resolving reporting issues. This role requires someone who can balance daily firefighting, lead a team of 4-6 data analysts, stakeholder management, and long-term process optimisation.

Role

• Manage the end-to-end reporting processes, including data extraction, transformation, and presentation.
• Ensure overnight MIS jobs, and dashboards run successfully; troubleshoot failures in SQL/Python.
• Lead a team of data support analysts responsible for developing and maintaining MIS reports. Distribute workload across 46 analysts, set priorities, and monitor SLA adherence.
• Interact with different teams (sales, risk, operations, credit, audit, product, etc.) clarify requests, push back low-value asks, and suggest optimised solutions.
• Decide which requests need immediate delivery, which can be automated, and which should be declined/redirected.
• Effective management of business-critical support requests during late evenings / early mornings / holidays (beyond working hours)
• Hands-on debugging when issues arise in Python scripts, SQL queries, or dashboards.
• Identify repetitive manual work and drive automation/optimisation initiatives with the help of BI and data strategy teams

Qualification & experience

• Bachelor&aposs degree (Preferably in Computer Science, Information Systems, quant or related field but not mandatory).
• 6-10 years of relevant work experience in automated reporting and MIS

Essential skills

• Proficiency in

  SQL

  for querying and extracting data.
• Strong experience in

  Python

  for data processing and automation.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills to fix issues related to data and reports.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work closely with functional leads.
• Prior exposure to tech/data support in odd working hours.
• Strong project management and process optimisation mindset.
• Prior experience of working in BFSI/NBFC/Lending industry is plus.
• Knowledge of regulatory reporting and compliance is plus.
• Knowledge of BI tools (Tableau / PowerBI) is plus.
